Ancestral Cord-Cutting
Twenty quiet minutes, alone, once. Read one movement, do it, then scroll. There is no rush here — the pauses are the ritual.

Movement one
Sit down and arrive
Sit with both feet on the floor and your hands open on your knees. Nothing in them.
Breathe in through your nose for four counts, out through your mouth for six. Do that four times.
Say your own name out loud, once: "I am Receiver." Then wait until the room feels still.
Movement two
See who is behind you
Picture the people who came before you standing behind your chair, in a line that goes further back than you can see.
You do not need their names, their faces, or their approval. You only need to know they are there.
Notice that they are behind you, not in front of you. That is the correct order. They are the past; you are the one still walking.
Movement three
Name what you carried
Say out loud the one money fear you know is not originally yours. The scarcity, the shame, the fear of losing it all.
Then say: "I know where this came from. I have carried it long enough."
Let it be heavy for one more breath. Feel exactly how much room it has been taking.
Movement four
Give it back with respect
Hold your hands out behind you, palms up, as if offering something back over your shoulder.
Say: "This belonged to you, and you did the best you could with it. I return it to you with respect."
This is not blame. Nobody is being accused. You are simply putting something down where it was always kept.
Movement five
Cut the cord
Bring your hands to the center of your chest, then sweep them out and down, one clean motion, as if cutting a thread.
Say: "The cord is cut. What flows to me now, flows to me as Receiver, not as an inheritance."
Sit for three breaths without moving. Something usually loosens right here.
Movement six
Close the circle
Turn your palms up on your knees and say: "I keep the love. I return the burden. I take my own place."
Drink a full glass of water. The body finishes what the words started.
Then close the app and do something ordinary. Do not analyze it tonight.
When you have finished
Mark it here so today counts toward your streak.
